Draft 2025 Implementation Strategy for the Lower Sante Fe and Itchetucknee Rivers and priority springs

This DRAFT 2025 Implementation Strategy (Strategy) for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers and priority springs (LSFIR) Minimum Flows and Minimum Water Levels is available for stakeholder review.

The Strategy’s purpose is to identify the approaches for recovering and maintaining river and spring flows in the Lower Santa Fe River Basin to meet the MFLs proposed for adoption by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in coordination with and to be applied by the Suwannee River Water Management District and the St. Johns River Water Management District. This Strategy identifies the project components and cites the regulatory measures necessary to effectively address the immediate recovery needs of the LSFIR and is effective with the approval by each District’s governing board and upon the effective date of Rule 62-42.300, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
